College Fast Track: How To Earn 30 Credits In 30 Days - Your Freshman Year In A Month

Author:

Whether you are a working adult considering online college, a new high school graduate about to embark on your college career or perhaps a parent about to pickup the check on college tuition, you should know one of the greatest secrets of accelerating your college studies while saving a lot, sometimes thousands of dollars.

CLEP exams are one the most economical ways to earn credit fast and they are accepted at over 2,900 colleges and universities. CLEP exams are designed to measure your knowledge of a college level subject compared to that of a typical student who has passed the classroom version of the course. You don't have to be an expert on the topic and there are plenty of study materials available.

Here is a plan to earn 30 credits in 30 days or "Your Freshman Year in a Month". CLEP exams are only $60. With these exams yielding six credits each, that comes to a whopping $360 for a whole year of college credit!

Week 1

  • English Composition - The equivalent of a first year composition course. If you did ok in high school English you should have no problems here.

  • College Mathematics - Sixty math problems in ninety minutes. Brush up on your basic algebra and geometry and you should do fine.

Week 2

  • Humanities - General knowledge about art, music and literature. Broad but certainly not deep.

Week 3

  • Social Sciences and History - Introductory coverage of history, government, sociology, geography and psychology.

Week 4

  • Natural Sciences - Tests general, survey knowledge of the biological and physical sciences.
One month later you are a sophomore. It's really not as hard as it sounds. You shouldn't need more than a week to study for each exam. The key is not to over study. You should use material that is designed to prepare for each specific exam. Inexpensive study guides can be found in your local library, bookstore or online.

Before taking CLEP exams check with your college to make sure they are accepted for your particular curriculum.
